Good bye

Well I'm waiting for my last class, New Media. I probably won't see some of you again so I will say good bye! I would also like to say thank you to my group who did such a great job on making the website. I've worked with other groups where I wanted to shoot myself. You guys were so easy to work with and everybody got along. You all worked hard and it showed on the final product. I guess if you're not graduating I'll see some of you next semester. Have a good summer everybody!

LAST DAY!!!

Well today is the last day of class. It didn't start out so good for me. My alarm didn't go off and I didn't leave till 8 am. Normally it takes me 2 hours to get in. I was sure that I was going to be late for my 9:30 class. I don't normally believe in miracles but I experienced one today. There was no traffic on 95 and I made it to my class! I was so happy, or as happy as one can get to go to class on time. The shuttle was a little packed though, because of the fashion show on campus. I'm just glad this is the last time I have to worry about parking and getting to class, or at least until next semester.

I Would Rather Be Somewhere Else

Does anybody else wish they were in Paris? I could go for a ham and cheese French bread sandwich and a bottle of wine right now. I wonder what the people in Montmartre are doing? Probably eating a French bread sandwich and drinking wine. A famous person once said that when you are going to Paris you feel on top of the world, like you are special and important. Then once you get there they tell you “You're not so great”.
Il était très sage et observateur !

Twitter

Okay, so I just started “twittering” today. At first I didn’t get it, but now I sort of do. It’s like letting people know what you’re doing on Facebook. People can read what you’re doing and you can read what everybody else is doing. Why, I don’t know. I guess if you follow all your friends it could be cool. If anybody wants to follow me add me, jgdderosa. The one cool thing is that you can follow celebrities. In case you are wondering, yes I follow aplusk.

Relaxing

Finally I can relax! I’m going to lay down on my couch and watch TV. I haven’t been able to watch much TV because of school. I have to catch up and watch all the shows I recorded on DVR. I would just like to take a moment and thank God for all the wonderful things he created. Especially Direct TV, DVR, and 50’’ Plasma HD TV’s. That’s right, hours of recorded shows like The Office, 30 Rock, American Idol, and Myth Busters. Yeah I had to throw in something somewhat educational.

My Pets

I have two dogs, Daisy and Charlie. Daisy is a golden retriever, and Charlie is a black lab. Daisy likes sleeping and eating, and Charlie likes chasing squirrels. Charlie also likes harassing my cat, Sassy. Sassy is a tabby. Sassy likes to kill things like crows, snakes, and moles. She is pretty frightening but she keeps the rodents out of the yard. I like my pets, they always greet me when I come home. Maybe because they want to be fed, but they always seem glad to see me.

Last Day!

Blah! I’m almost done with the semester. Yesterday I gave my last presentation so I’m done with everything but finals. Tomorrow is the last day of class, hooray! I’m not that excited though. Marymount has a tendency of finding new ways of upsetting me. For example, tomorrow is the last day of classes, but there will be no parking on campus and the shuttle is going to be more hectic than usual. My printer just broke. Good thing I don’t have to turn in any more papers.

Internship

Well the year is winding down. I only have two papers to write and then its finals. I also have been making progress in finding an internship for over the summer. I have an interview at NBC to go to soon. To say that I am nervous is an understatement. I hope everything goes well, especially since I need to do an internship to graduate by December. Wish me luck!

Art

I went to the National Portrait Gallery over the weekend for an assignment in History. We had to get biographical information for certain people then look at their portraits. It was kinda cool since I got to walk around china town. I am still waiting to hear whether I got an internship or not. Its killing me since I have to get one to graduate in december. I can't wait for easter break since I am visiting my relatives in NY. After that the school year will amost be over except for a few projects and finals.

Crunch Time

Everything is chaotic towards the end of the year. I have papers and projects all due around the same time. I am also graduating in December so I'm turning in petitions and have to get an internship over the summer. I am kind of excited about being project manager for New Media. Its like I am on the Apprentice and I will either do a good job or get fired. I hope that this experience wont be as drama filled as on the show. Anyway I'm getting pretty stressed but I know it will all end soon and then I will be done with college after next semester. I just have to keep looking up and keep walking towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Wait that doesn't sound right, once I reach the light doesn't that mean I die?

Wegmans

I was really excited about the Wegmans opening up in Gainesville. I have known about Wegmans since they are all over New York and my relatives live in Syracuse. They have sprung up in Virginia recently. My dad is Italian and whenever we went to New York he would buy all these ingredients and make great Italian food. When I walked into the store the smell of prosciutto and mozzarella brought back good memories. We were restricted to this treat only when we were in New York. My favorite is coonies, which we only get in New York, but now they are at Wegmans in Gainesville. I bought some and they are ssssssoooooo good. Anyway it snowed today which was pretty weird.

My life is boring . . . .

My life is really boring right now. All I do is go to school and sleep. The only thing I have to talk about right now is The Apprentice. Scott Hamilton and Andrew Dice Clay have already been fired. Tom Green is going to be project manager next week. He seemed to try to get involved but he just comes off as being goofy and annoying people. He almost got fired but he was given another chance and now must be project manager. I hope he does well but I kind of want to see Tom Green and Dennis Rodman go at it . . . yeah I have no life.

Spring Break

I didn't really do much and I ended up sleeping in until 3 every day. I did visit my friend in Maryland who just got engaged. She asked me to be her maid of honor. To no surprise every girl I mention that to says "aaawww" and "You should definitley do it." Every guy I ask says "whats that" or "can you even do that . .. your not a girl". I still haven't decided yet. Her fiance wants his best man to be a dog. They are still fighting about that one. If anything I will go to the wedding to see a dog dressed in a suit . . . and there is a free bar.

Steelers!!!

HERE WE GO STEELERS!!! The game was amazing. Of course it was a nail bitter and it kept you on the edge of your seat until the last minute. The 100 yard interception return was the longest run in Superbowl history. The only thing that was disappointing was the commercials. There were some good ones but overall it wasn't as good as in the past. That didn't affect my excitement that Steelers have the most championships than any other teams. I am kind of depressed that there won't be any football for a while. I guess I have to console myself with some TV show like American Idol or Lost . . . okay maybe not lost.

Here We Go Steelers!!!!

I am so excited the Steelers are going to the Superbowl! I want to go to Pittsburgh to party, but since I'm in school I probably won't. If the Steelers weren't in the Superbowl I probably wouldn't mind if the Cardinals won, but since they are I hope they get crushed. I am still excited about Obama as President. So far he says he will close guantanamo and end torture. I kinda wanted Caroline Kennedy to be senator, but I'm sure she has her reasons. Thats about it for now, I am syked about everything thats going on, so I will leave you with this quote "What's that called when everything seems to fit together . . . the Bermuda Triangle".

Inauguration Weekend

Most people celebrated over the weekend, I was no exception. Washington DC was crazy. I went to a couple bars and they were packed. Everyone was celebrating the new president! People were partying in the streets and yelling "OBAMA!!" I ended up in Chinatown and there were chinese people doing a dragon dance, like they do on new years in china. My only regret is that I ended up at the metro at the Verizon Center. Roads were closed and there were cops everywhere. I soon found out why. The kids concert just let out. Jonas Brothers, Miley Cirus, Obama and his kids were at the concert. When I say I was met by a stampede of kids im not joking, I thought I was going to die. I was glad to see my friend Kevin from Pittsburgh and Dan from Philadelphia who came down for the festivities. Overall it was a good weekend, for me and the country.
